A complete guide of where, how Seattle public school students can pick up free lunches

As of Monday more than 25 public schools across the Seattle area were offering free lunches to students in need in wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

For the duration of school closures, all Seattle Public School students can pick up their lunches from a lengthy list of 26 locations Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m..

Students may nab their grab and go meals, but as a result of social distancing guidelines from state and local health agencies, lunchgoers may not remain at the schools to eat their lunch.

Full details regarding all lunch locations and pick-ups can be found below, with additional staff support for those with accessibility complications needing access to another entrance or food brought outside.

Additionally, Northwest Harvest SODO Community Market will be doling out free pre-bagged produce, prepared foods, and non-perishable groceries from their doors at 1915 4th Ave S, available to anyone of any age. Per social distancing concerns, there will be no need to enter the facility as all goods are pre-prepared in bags for pick up.

The market will be open Mondays from 1:30-7:30 p.m., and Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m.-2 p.m.. The market is most easily accessible via King County Metro lines 131 and 132, alongside the Sodo station via Sound Transit. For all their mealtime deets, click here.

Lastly, Washington Building Leaders of Change (WA-BLOC) and FEEST Seattle are providing free hot lunches to students in the Rainier Beach Community every Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3 p.m. at Rainier Beach Community Center plaza while schools remain closed. For more information, click here.
