Napoli sent scouts to view Deportivo Alaves striker Samu Omorodion, but getting him from Atletico Madrid won’t be easy.
The Partenopei are seeking a replacement for Victor Osimhen, who is widely expected to leave at the end of the season for well over €110m.
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli watched Omorodion in action for Deportivo Alaves, where he has scored nine goals in 33 LaLiga appearances this season.
He is on loan from Atletico Madrid and valued at a minimum of €40m.
Omorodion wants Atleti future
While Napoli might try to negotiate a deal, it remains to be seen whether the striker himself will accept, as he has said repeatedly that he sees himself with Atleti next season.
He was purchased for only €6m from Granada in the summer of 2023 and immediately sent on loan to Alaves.
With dual Spanish and Nigerian citizenship, he turned 20 earlier this month and has also been linked with Roma as well as several Premier League sides.
